Due to the antiquated nature of the Yellow Pages book, especially in comparison to the user-friendly Yellow Pages website, Inreact has come up with some alternate ways to use the Yellow Pages Books:
- Prop up a Chair - Did one of your dining room chairs buckle under the pressure of your last Thanksgiving dinner? Don't worry about the busted chair leg. Just stack your unused Yellow Pages books in the empty corner of the chair and you're good to go!
- Send out an S.O.S. - Lost in an unknown place? Signal for help from above by using your Yellow Pages books to spell out S.O.S. or the word HELP. The bright yellow color is sure to attract the proper authorities.
- Build a Staircase - A little frustrated that you can't quite reach that top shelf? Stack your Yellow Pages books against the wall and climb on up. Now reaching for the stars has never been easier.
- Support the Fine Arts - Were you aware that properly stacked Yellow Pages Books make an excellent guitar stand?
- Changing a tire - Being stranded with a flat tire is never fun. IF you forgot your car jack, hopefully you remembered to fill your trunk with all your old Yellow Pages books. They're a great substitute.
On a more serious note, there are many ways to get involved with this movement, other than refurnishing your room with old books. Inreact will be collecting Yellow Pages Books at their office to dispose of them properly after using them for creative purposes. Visiting inreact.com/ypbookfree will help you learn more about their efforts. Show your own unconventional ways of using the Yellow Pages book by taking a photo of your creation and including the hashtag #ypbookfree in your twitter posts or posting on facebook.com/inreact.
